License - Scroll Down for the Map
If you print this at home and it gets wet, you will be without a map and in very big trouble. ALWAYS bring a paper map as a backup and properly protect any home-printed copies from water. For your convenience I have professionally printed paper and waterproof copies for sale.
Also note that all maps have errors. I will fix any I know about, but that's the best I can do. By downloading this map you must understand that there are errors that have not been found and fixed and that any use of this map is based on this understanding (if you could email me to let me know about any mistakes that would be great!).
You must also understand that logging roads in Algonquin Park are CLOSED to vehicular traffic (including bicycles and carts,) and that old campsites are shown for reference only - you may not legally camp at them. Both of those data sets are shown for exploration and emergency purposes only. Please respect that.
Finally, It's really important that you realize that although Heron nesting areas are shown on the map, seeking out the nests themselves can lead herons to actually abandon them. Don't do that.
Have fun!

Canada-Wide Garmin GPS Map (By Ibycus)
These maps are provided as a service to the community and are provided with no warranty. They are NOT made by me, but rather by Ibycus. He had trouble hosting them given the fact that the download is over 3GB, so I am since I don't incur any costs regardless of the amount of data I transfer (his license allows this).
Instructions: Download the files below and 'unrar' them with a program like UnRarX (Mac) or UnRAR for Windows. You'll then need to 'mount' the .iso file that results. On Mac OS you can just double click the .iso file to open it, but on Windows you'll need to use Virtual Clone Drive. Making sure that you already have installed Garmin Basecamp and Garmin MapInstall (Mac), or Garmin MapSource and Garmin MapInstall (Windows), and open up MapInstall and select the "Ibycus Topo 3.2" map (in the top-left corner in the Mac version). Then, move around the map and click on sections of the map you'd like to install onto your GPS (they will be selected and their size will be indicated at the bottom of the screen). Finally, click the button at the bottom of the window to send the maps to your device (it must be plugged in to your computer and turned on).
The license as taken from his installer:
These maps are distributed AS IS, without any warranty (in so much as this is legal). The map data are gathered from online datasets made available by the Canadian Government (for details of source website information, contact me at datkin@ibycus.com) and are distributed under their unrestriced license agreement. The accuracy of this data is in no way assured (in some areas there are KNOWN inaccuracies).
The data were processed using programs written by myself (Dale Atkin), and compiled to Garmin's IMG format using the compiler available at http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com. It should be noted, that the Garmin IMG format specification has not been made public, as such the compiler is making a 'best guess' at what is right for the format. This may or may not be the correct format.
Given this, these maps may not work with every GPS, and may interact badly with some models. Also Garmin has nothing to do with these maps, and so obviously can't be asked to support your use of them. That being said, I personally have not as of this date received any significant reports of problems with this mapset, or adverse reactions from using custom maps.
By accepting this license agreement, you agree that you and you alone are responsible for your use of these maps, and that you will not hold me liable in any way for any damages related to their use.
